Crested Butte is home to the world famous Crested Butte Mountain Resort and is a vibrant, growing town of some 1500 people. Originally a mining town, founded in the 1860's, Crested Butte is a National Historic District with many fine shops and restaurants to explore. Crested Butte is the Wildflower Capital of Colorado and summer means a carpet of beautiful wildflowers everywhere. B'nai Butte hosts a variety of monthly events including Shabbat and Holidays. The closest airport is Gunnison (GUC) only 30 miles away.
